From a photo that needs to be a JPEG to a video you only need the audio from.
Images
JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF, or PDF. Combine up to 25 images into one PDF.
PDFs
Turn each page into a numbered image: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, or TIFF.
Documents
Move between plain text, Markdown, HTML, RTF, and PDF. Choose formatted or literal Markdown for PDF output.
Audio & video
Convert audio to M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, or MP3. Export video as MOV or MP4, or extract its audio.
Motion & Live Photos
Make a GIF, animated HEIF, MOV, or MP4 from supported motion inputs. Export a Live Photo’s still image or audio, too.
Available outputs depend on the input and device capabilities. WebP output is a still image. File size, page count, and duration limits apply.

Include your iOS or iPadOS version, input and output formats, the steps you tried, and the exact error message. A sample file is optional; send only what you’re comfortable sharing.
How do I convert a file?
Tap Choose Photos or Files, pick an input, and select an output and quality. Convert, preview, then use the system share sheet to save or send the result. The main app accepts up to 25 files.
Can I convert from another app?
Open the source app’s share sheet and choose Convert with Convertelier. The Action extension handles one file or one Live Photo at a time. Look under More if the action isn’t visible. Available actions depend on the source app and file.
Where did my converted files go?
Results appear in local history for 24 hours. Save important results to Files, Photos, or another destination before they expire. Your originals stay intact. Expired copies are cleaned up when history is next accessed; iOS can delay cleanup while the app is inactive.
Does it work offline?
Conversion runs on-device once the input is available locally. iCloud Photos and File Providers may need a connection to download selected inputs. Apple’s optional tip products and purchases also use network services.
Why isn’t a format available?
Outputs depend on the input type, compatible codecs, and platform capabilities. If a file exceeds a resource limit, try a smaller input or different supported settings. For large files, use the main app; the extension and Shortcuts use tighter limits.
Which devices are supported?
Convertelier requires iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later. It is designed for iPhone and iPad.
Are all conversion features free?
Yes. Every conversion feature is free. Optional one-time tips support development and unlock no features.
Privacy policy
App policy effective September 30, 2026
Convertelier processes files locally on the iPhone or iPad where the app is running. It does not create accounts, display advertising, use analytics or tracking SDKs, or upload files to a developer-operated service.
Data the app handles
For conversion, the app handles files and media that a person explicitly selects, shares to the Action extension, or supplies through a Shortcut. Conversion can read embedded metadata when needed to process the file. The Preserve Metadata setting controls whether supported output paths copy that metadata to the converted result.
This processing occurs on-device. Under Apple’s App Privacy definitions, data processed only on-device and never transmitted to a server is not collected by the developer.
Storage and retention
Imported working copies are stored in protected per-job temporary directories. Successful outputs are copied to the app’s shared local history so the main app and Action extension can access them. Results appear in history for 24 hours unless the person deletes them sooner. Expired and orphaned copies are removed when the app or extension next accesses history. iOS can suspend cleanup while the app is inactive, so physical deletion may occur after the 24-hour display period. The generated history directory is marked for exclusion from device backups. This does not change the backup or retention settings for originals or results saved elsewhere.
Files leave the app only when the person explicitly uses a system share destination, saves a result to Photos, saves it to Files, or passes it to another Shortcut action. Those destinations have their own privacy practices.
Network access
File conversion does not require network access after the selected input is available locally. HTML and SVG are sanitized before rendering so external scripts, styles, media, links, refresh instructions, and other remotely loadable resources are not fetched. iCloud Photos and File Providers may use a network connection to download selected photos, Live Photos, videos, or files. Those downloads are managed by Apple’s platform services or the selected provider; they do not send files to a developer-operated conversion service.
Optional tips
The tip jar uses Apple in-app purchases. Apple processes payments and supplies signed transaction information to confirm and finish purchases. The app does not receive payment-card or Venmo details, send transaction data to a developer-operated server, or upload conversion files. StoreKit product loading and purchasing may use Apple network services. Tips are optional, repeatable one-time purchases; every conversion feature remains free.
Apple platform services
The app uses Apple’s document picker, photo picker, Photos add-only permission, share sheet, App Intents, App Group storage, and media/document frameworks. It includes local libwebp and LAME codec libraries, with source and notices available in Open Source Licenses inside the app. These libraries do not provide analytics or tracking.
